This is the first lot for 2020 from our friends and close partners in Brazil. This lot represents the best coffee produced at Sitio Painiera this year. The producer, Rodrigo Jose De Avila is a total legend and has been working hard to improve the quality. The depth of flavour here says it all.
Rodrigo and his family aim to produce the highest quality possible because of the premium based price that we agree. With the help of his Father, they have been learning and applying techniques to reach the best potential of their land.
The lot sizes and amount of coffee picked each day is decided by the size of space available on the drying patio, which is positioned next to the family house. In turn, each lot is separated and marked by the day it was picked and where. The coffee is dried first in the patios, being moved 8 to 10 times a day and finishes the process in the mechanic dryers using 30 to 35°C.
